What is this program?  This program is through the Department of Workforce Services and they can do a couple of things: 1) pay for child care while you look for employment and 2) help pay for child care if you are employed and qualify for financial assistance.
Who qualifies?  Based on employment status and income.
How do I connect with this program?  Call DWS at 1-801-526-0950 and ask to schedule an appointment with a counselor who can help connect you with the benefits available to you. 
What is unique about this program?  The counselor can act as a broker between you and the different benefits and services available to you through the Division of Workforce Services.
Is there anything I should know about this program?  Be patient and cheerful.  This is a big organization and it might be frustrating.  Just accept it and tell yourself that it won't be long before you will be living independently.  Think about how cool it is that this system exists for your benefit.  It's actually a pretty awesome system.

What is this program?  This is a child care referral program designed to help people find quality child care in their area.
Who qualifies?  Anyone who needs to find a child care provider.

What is unique about this program?  It's pretty straightforward.
Is there anything I should know about this program?  Not really.
YWCA

 

What is this program?  An accredited child care, preschool, and kindergarten program run by the YWCA.
Who qualifies?  Children within the program and community children.

Is there anything I should know about this program?  Not really.
Volunteers of America

 

What is this program?  A drop in child care program meant to help VOA patrons with children be able to make it to their appointments in the treatment facility.
Who qualifies?  Homeless or transitioning patrons of VOA who are utilizing the treatment center for mental health issues, drug abuse, or domestic violence.

What is unique about this program?  It is so proactive and aware of the issues related to its target population.
Is there anything I should know about this program?  This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what this organization has to offer to both homeless teens and adults.
